Threats to IMLS Funding Impacts Libraries
Resources like eBooks, audiobooks, research databases, and braille books for the blind are at risk. An executive order was issued to direct the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to significantly reduce its operations. NOLS is funded primarily through Clallam County property taxes, but a loss of federal funding will still have a big impact on local library services.
