September is Library Card Sign-Up Month

New library card designs are here! Three limited-edition designs by our Library Card Art Contest winners are now available, in addition to other local artist cards released earlier this year.

Library Card Sign-Up Month is the perfect time to share the library love! From books, CDs, and DVDs, streaming movies, audiobooks, eBooks and online resources to events, computers, Wi-Fi, printing, newspapers and magazines, a library card is a free ticket to knowledge, creativity, and community. Help a friend unlock new opportunities—tell them why you love the library and encourage them to get a card today!

Online resources support learners at every stage—get free access with your library card! Explore cultures from around the world with CultureGrams, sharpen your research skills using Gale databases, or build your resume by mastering career skills through LinkedIn Learning's 20,000 expert-led video tutorials. 

Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15) with the library! Explore the curated booklist that highlights Hispanic and Latine voices, including titles featured in our book groups. Join the Reading Challenge and track your progress online using Beanstack. Don’t miss the “Yo Soy/I Am” “Soy de/I Am From” Poetry Workshop with Clallam County Poet Laureate Nellie Bridge at the Forks Library on Saturday, September 27.

Play and connect this season with fun activities for all ages! Join the Fall Family Bingo Fest on the West End, or participate in other games and puzzle challenges at your branch. Get inspired by art, movies, and cultural events, and drop in to the Arts & Crafts Supply Swap in Port Angeles—no need to bring anything to join the fun! Plus, build new skills with events like Financial Beginnings, a practical workshop to help you manage your money.
